Thanks for looking in and commenting, always appreciated  :)

More news on the Tripe.
Lost one of the floor boards to the Carpet Monster. Scratched one from veneer, liked it, tossed remaining plastic one in the bin and made another! The attachment points were made by chucking 0.4mm brass tube in a pin vise and gently scored on the veneer using light circular motions. It wasn't Rocket Science, but it was rewarding and it got me out of a Carpet Devil hole!

A wee bit of dry fitting. Making sure the tolerances don't impede my progress.

The rudder bar has been wired. Leaving the glue to set-up over night.  :o

I chose not to scratch the panel and went with the kit part.
I picked out the bezels with this black paint.
We've all been there. One slip and the bezel becomes a dinner plate. Not so with this paint. If you creep onto the panel, you can clean up with a damp brush and go again...and again... and... don't ask! A Klear coat will be sprayed over the IP to fix the paint in place. Instruments will be picked out, kleared again and then decals.

Well, that's me for now, but I've got to say this...I'm loving being part of this group build.
Cheers,
BvB  ;)

Hi Steve,
The paint is made by Wilder
I think they're meant to be used for weathering in a similar way to oils, but water based.
The good thing about them is the fact you can rework the paint even if it's dried on.

This is my first time in using them, so I'm learning on the job  8)

Cheers,
Bob

Outstanding work on the floorboards Bob. Love the panel also. I will have to check for availability / who carries the paint in the US.

Very nice progress on the interior. I like the wooden floor boards and the fuel gauge.

Hi Rick,
As far as I'm aware Wilder is a North American company. Check out the link. They may direct you to a US dealer... Good luck!

P.S. Thanks for the nice comments one and all!

Small update for you.
The mass of control rigging inside the cockpit is complete.
A few touch ups here and there are required, but I'm happy with the outcome.

We go on...
Cheers!  ;)
