Outstanding Tripe, Bob.  Nicely detailed and weathered.  I do like the color scheme.
A fitting tribute to Des.

Sorry Bob but I forgot the deadline for this. That is a simply fantastic tribute to Des especially the base which is very original. The details are just what we have come to expect from you - a first clas  modeller. Many congratulations on such a fine model.

Stephen.

Thank you, Stephen.  ;)
I had a good tail wind pushing me over the line.

The idea for the base came to me a couple of days before the deadline. I just primed the MDF base with Halfords Grey primer and then sprayed a top coat of black stove paint. The lettering was cut using my vinyl cutter, placed and then finished off with Gold gild paste, which was applied with q-tips. I whipped the mask off thinking there would be bleed, but luckily the Gods were with me. I'm very happy with the outcome.

Cheers,
Bob  :)

Des would have been very pleased with your Triplane. As one of the two people who rekindled my interest in WWI aviation you should be very proud of this build and of your dedication to the field of WWI models. Thanks for contributing!!

Steve,
You're too kind, my friend.   :)
It has been a joy (with a little help from my cheerleaders  ::)) to be part of this tribute to our founder. Long may Des's influence be part of this forum.

Cheers,
Bob  ;)
