I can see why you wanted to replace the first engine, Amigo.  It looked a little blurry, kinda out of focus.  Just kidding.  It looked fantastic, but the second one looks even better!  Love it!

Very nice engine, the weathering looks realistic and the wiring is superb.

One step forward and one step back! I managed to add the engine and radiator lower cowl assembly. While doing so the two triangular panels that had been carefully filled and sanded broke loose. So now to sand, refill, sand, and repaint that seam >:(

The slight mishap of the detaching triangular panels was sanded, filled, and sanded again. Then re-painted. Last the forward panels are all attached:

Great recovery Rick, looks great.  Sad that the beautiful engine will be hidden behind panels.  Looking forward to your adventures.

Thanks Juan, I appreciate the comments! The engine will be even more covered up once the troughs are installed. Virtually nothing is seen  ::)

I have worked in some contrast in the red and black using oils. Two shades of red oils blended in and burnt umber on the black. Once glossed and markings are applied I will go back with some Earth Tones in oils and Pastels.
