This is done bar the rigging
Alclad Matt varnish over gunze smoke and oil, with mud dabbed on with a sponge.

Hello Dave:
Dave Johnson of WNW built his in something like 17 hours for the photo op for the instructions and web. This is really turning out nice and in a very short amount of time. I think it is one of their better kits and am glad to see someone else working on it. I like the metal tones around the cowling, really sets it off.
Looking forward to the next update.
Best

Hi Dave,
Thanks for inspiring me to fondle my DXII. I have cast loving eyes over it since seeing your rapid build take shape
I will get round to building her one day and your thread will help me get the job done.
Cheers,
Vb

I used gas patch buckles and fasteners and tried a trick... It's easier to thread and attach the lower wing rigging THEn attach the wing. This is maxima chameleon 1.5 pound line. The whole lower wing took only half a hour to thread and the wing is on aligned as you see.... A doddle! What could go wrong?

Ah well I was being too clever and the thread would not tension well enough to be straight. I could have tried the metal tube loop but that does my head in! So I've gone for EZ line. This is a new black spool and seams to have a nicer cross section, so it's threading. 8 more wires to go.....

Very beautiful - and a nice choice of scheme. And I am astonished about your quick-building skills.

Fast, beautifully finished, and a real winner Dave. I've thrown a note in the box of my un-built Kit, yours is an inspiration and I'll be coming back to this Post!
Cheers,

She's done. I'll try to get photos outdoors if I'm home before dark tomorrow.
Thoroughly enjoyed this one which I think is the best engineered WNW kit I've done so far.

That's lovely, Dave. I really like the scheme and also the weathering, especially under the lower wing.
