issue with recent Eduard decals?

Given the discussion around this subject in Bughunter's excellent Eduard 1/48 Camel build I thought it a good time to bump this topic for newcomers to this technology (such as myself).

Has anyone been able to figure out how we know which kits have "peelable" carrier film and which are the more traditional style? I guess we just need to go by what's in the Eduard newsletter linked above (pg52-61):

The new generation of Eduard decals has been developed since 2018. In all kits of all Eduard series, these decals have been stan-dard since September 2019. Another type of decals is not used for Eduard kits after this date, the same applies to Eduard Decals sets.

I recommend downloading this copy of Info Eduard as this section is all about applying the new decals and I'm sure will be invaluable to those (like me) yet to encounter them.

Thanks for the reminder sir!  I have several new Eduard kits in the stash (Fokker D.VII's of various boxings, the Udet three kit boxings, and some off topic part two kits) so I need to be reminded of this.
