Hi!
Time to build Another WnW kit.
This Time I've decided to build the Hannover Cl.II, mainly for the challenge of painting the Fuselage logenzes :P
I'll build this one
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/HannoverClII13274_zps607dfbee.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/HannoverClII13274_zps607dfbee.jpg.html)
As aftermarket items I'll use Wood&Wire Lozenges and Gaspatch Turnbuckles.
let's start with cockpit as usual.
Before painting the wood I've masked and sprayed the fuel tank, because the masking over the oil paint would be tricky
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/Cockpit_01_zps9c461dd6.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/Cockpit_01_zps9c461dd6.jpg.html)
Some chipping done with maskol. I'll decide later if is too much, and in case is easy to correct with some grey paint.
Oils applied over a Sand color acrylic base
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/Cockpit_02_zpsdde56372.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/Cockpit_02_zpsdde56372.jpg.html)
Some details added (no shading or wethering yet)
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/han%202/IP_01_zpsef322fc8.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/han%202/IP_01_zpsef322fc8.jpg.html)
The kit has some molded fuel lines details. I deleted them and replaced with copper wire.
The glossy spots that you see are from clear paint used to fix the wires and they will be corrected with some clear overspray.
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/han%202/IP_02_zps71a7fb3b.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/han%202/IP_02_zps71a7fb3b.jpg.html)
Same work on fuselage
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/han%202/fuselage01_zpsa6904bec.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/han%202/fuselage01_zpsa6904bec.jpg.html)
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/han%202/fuselage03_zps1c32b261.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/han%202/fuselage03_zps1c32b261.jpg.html)
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/han%202/fuselage05_zpsf18ef3f2.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/han%202/fuselage05_zpsf18ef3f2.jpg.html)
Now, will I wait for oils to dry I'll start covering the wing. In the next post...
bye
Andrew

It's coming along nicely Andrew. I'm looking forward to seeing how you tackle that lozenge.
Cheers,
Chris

Now the Wood&Wire decals
Some comparison with kit decals
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/Decal_01_zpsacc419e1.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/Decal_01_zpsacc419e1.jpg.html)
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/Decal_02_zps6b6f878a.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/Decal_02_zps6b6f878a.jpg.html)
looks good, but can you spot the error ? ::) Later we'll see...
prepared the wings: white base and then gloss clear
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/Decal_03_zps987b190f.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/Decal_03_zps987b190f.jpg.html)
Cut the decals from support ( before this you have to spray a clear cote over them)
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/Decal_05_zps656e9e55.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/Decal_05_zps656e9e55.jpg.html)
And apply! No problem , they are delicate, but with a little attention they look good and conform very well to details :)
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/Decal_06_zpsf49512fc.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/Decal_06_zpsf49512fc.jpg.html)
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/Decal_07_zpsab3108cb.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/Decal_07_zpsab3108cb.jpg.html)
Now the aileron.. and guess what? 2 Left undersurface aileron decals and no right ones!! >:(
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/han%202/Decal_01_zps6877edb6.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/han%202/Decal_01_zps6877edb6.jpg.html)
I've used Some spares decals that I had, they are a little darker, but will be on the underside and they could be an aileron covered with another fabric batch ::)
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/han%202/Decal_02_zpsf9a400e4.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/han%202/Decal_02_zpsf9a400e4.jpg.html)
I was a little disappointed with this error. Nobody tested the decals before selling??? ???
Anyway , that's all for now.
Bye
Andrew

Super, love the gas tank & dash
-
Hello AndrewS:
You are doing a great job on the interior pieces and the lozenge work. I like the W&W lozenge with the fabric detail as well. Looks good so far. This is a scheme on my list and I will be following to see how you manage to do it. You're under the "microscope". ;)
Best
Mark
-
Absolutely convincing work on the wooden parts.
I agree, the fact that you have two left aileron decals but none for the right side is disappointing. Maybe contacting W and W with this problem might be of any help?
Stefan
-
Very nice work Andrew; your decal work is really done well and your wood grain and interior detail superb. I'd leave the fuel tank as is...........it is very convincing.
Cheers,
Lance
-
I love this marking!!!! Also love your wood surface.... :)
Looking forward to see more!!!!
Lukas
-
What a super start Andrew. This is shaping up beautifully. I can't wait to see how you handle the fuselage lozenges.
Best wishes
Nigel

You're off to a flying start Andrew, and what you have achieved so far is looking excellent.
Des.

This is one of those Rocket Starts! Beautifully done wood and the tank looks excellent to me. Also the Lozenge looks to be applied very nicely! Outstanding Start to say the least!!!
RAGIII

Most excellent start so far Andrew . I would be disappointed as well with the lozenge decals .
Terri
-
Great start there! Love this scheme - it is the one I would like to do also but am not sure how I could effectively pull off the fuselage loz....
-
Excellent beginning, Andrew. Pity about the aileron loz, but you recovered beautifully.
Cheers,
Bud
-
Great start, Andrew! Your woodgrain and fuel tank are both superb. Your work
on the lozenge is really well done, despite the printing error. I look forward
to the next updates.
Cheers,
Ernie :)

I love watching your builds, Andrew. So far this is no exception.

First of all thanks to everibody for the nice comments :D
I'll send a mail to w&w about the problem, but I think that they allready know it , I don't think I'm the first to use their set. ::)
Anyway they are a very nice product. last night I've applied the top surface decals and they went on very well (pictures tomorrow).
Bye

Hi Andrew,
first i wanted to say that it is a pitty that the W&W decals are a bit wrong, but i hope that everything will come just fine.
i just just wanted to let you know that i am on the first row to follow you're build. This is a plane that's also on my wanted list.
very nice work you got theire.
Good luck ;)

Hi!
Small Update.
I've placed the wing top decals and started to add details to the fuselage.

Well done W&W ! :D

I really like your interior detail work Andrew. Great use of oils. Pity about the decal issue but at least they are addressing it.

Hi!
Not much work last week, I've been busy with other things.
I've added some weathering to the inteior.
A wash on the tank and some dark brown added to the borders of the floor.
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/h4/Interior_01_zpsd06b2309.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/h4/Interior_01_zpsd06b2309.jpg.html)

While waiting for the oils to dry I've started to assembly the MG's. Nice details here, I've only replaced the front of the scope with a brass tube, to have a sharper finish.
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/h4/Mg_01_zps9f51e762.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/h4/Mg_01_zps9f51e762.jpg.html)
Then I've assembled the radio, a very nice nice piece with great decals on this small part (the short side is about 10mm..). It still needs a flat coat.
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/h4/Radio_zpseee8de10.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/h4/Radio_zpseee8de10.jpg.html)
Finally a dry fit test test. The back wall still needs weathering and other details ( seat, seatblets, ecc...)
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/h4/Interior_03_zps168f5820.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/h4/Interior_03_zps168f5820.jpg.html)

That's all. I hope to be able to do more work this week. Smile - :)

I love your attention to detail and that weathered fuel tank looks real. Keep up the good work!

Really super Andrew!

Outstanding detailing and painting!

Superb woodwork effect Andrew. It's one of the best I've ever seen.
Cheers,

Very nice work Andrew. Your detailing is superb and the woodwork, as Chris said, is outstanding. What References do you have for this aircraft? I'm considering ordering it but other than a decal sheet from Pheon I can't identify any Reference material.
Cheers,
Lance

Hi!
If you can find it there's the windsock datafile 23.
Obviously the reference on the wingnut site and you can find some thing also with a research on google,
and the build on the homepage of this site
But I can say that Just the wingnut instructions are a very good starting point ;)
Andrea

Thanks Andrew. The Data File may be hard to find, like most out of print volumes; I'll have to do some searching......
Cheers,
Lance

Superb!!
I love the wood-work and the aging and weathering on the fuel tank also - realy beautiful!!!!

Hello Andrew:
As mentioned, the weathering on the fuel tank looks real as does the wood; great affects you have achieved there. This is on my to do list and I am looking forward to seeing you progress and how you do the paint.

I'll join the chorus: your Hannover looks fantastic!

You are moving along very nicely Andrew, your attention to detail is superb, great job so far.

Andrew you have done a really good job on the wireless transmitter- those decals are tiny and it is a challenge to get them in exactly the right position as you have done.
Well done and keep up the good work!

Thanks to all for the nice comments :D
And yes, the decals are a challenge. Is better to divide them and not apply them in a single piece, and you have to be sure to cut the transparent center form the knob decals, because they are not centered and if you don' t remove the clear center the decal will be offset from the knob. ::)

Thanks for taking the time to photograph your work and share with us Andrew. Its looking really good! Here is an image of an old Hannover poster to celebrate your build

Hi!
I've started to work on the engine.
As you can see is very well detailed right out of the box
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/05/Engine_01_zps4856fc30.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/05/Engine_01_zps4856fc30.jpg.html)
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/05/Engine_01b_zpsebed067a.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/05/Engine_01b_zpsebed067a.jpg.html)
But something is missing: the air pump in front of the case. Luckily I have a WnW Gotha in my stash and because only 1 engine will be exposed, I've taken the air pump from one of the engines sprue Tongue - :p
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/05/Engine_02_zpsd33c679e.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/05/Engine_02_zpsd33c679e.jpg.html)
The engine metal parts are painted with Alclad. I've made the valves lifters from copper wire ( in the kit there's also a piece with the lifters moulded in plastic, but this is a quick and easy way to improve the engine). The main colours are on, now I have to start the weathering.
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/05/Engine_03_zps7bfb6c8b.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/05/Engine_03_zps7bfb6c8b.jpg.html)

Stefan
Hi!
I've not decided yet... I have a Silhouette CAMEO for cutting vynil and other materials to use as masks so maybe I'll use that.
or I can trace the lozenge on the fuselage and mask them with tape.
The idea is to spray all with masks, then I'll try to free hand spray the contour of the bigger ones to make them "soft", like you see ont he real plane.
It will be a nice challenge :o
Andrew

Good evening to all,
Great work !! I like it. Where do you order your decals ? Thanks. ;)
Best regards.

Hi!
Good progress last week.
I've painted the PE seat belts and I draped one over the pilot seat to break up the simmetry.

The instructions say to add the engine before closing the fuselage, but can be done also later, so I preferred to leave the engine aside and finish it until I'll have painted thefuselage.

That's all. Now Ive to smooth the joint of fuselage and start to plan the lozenges painting .

Hi!
The fun (?) begins :D
Time to paint!
First I've covered the fuselage with the lighest color.
Then I've traced with a pencil the pattern and marked the various color of each section.
The lozenges on the aft part of the fuselage where hard edged while the others where soft-edged (I think that they used a stencil for the aft part), so I've masked the hard edged lozenges while the others will be airbrushed free hand.
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/07/HannoverClII13274170183-056_zps330eeeab.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/07/HannoverClII13274170183-056_zps330eeeab.jpg.html)
(I've photoshopped the images to let you see better the pencil lines)
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/07/paint_01_zpsa42792ca.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/07/paint_01_zpsa42792ca.jpg.html)
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/07/paint_02_zpsd7a892aa.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/07/paint_02_zpsd7a892aa.jpg.html)
as you can see I've also tried to hand paint one of the sections, but I didn't like the result.
The masking on the central wing section and tailplane:
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/07/paint_03_zps4d3a69f5.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/07/paint_03_zps4d3a69f5.jpg.html)
The result after the first color
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/07/paint_04_zpse3860860.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/07/paint_04_zpse3860860.jpg.html)
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/07/paint_05_zps9a3b58ac.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/07/paint_05_zps9a3b58ac.jpg.html)
I had some problems with the paint mixing (you can see some spitting in the freehand section) , but is the first color, so there's time to correct things.
Anyway I'm satisfied with this first step. Now I've to repeat for the other 3 colors (violet, blu and dark green) ... and then make the same thing with different colors for the under surfaces :o
Bye!
Andrew

Andrew, will you put a light overcoat of blue paint on top of your fuselage lozenge, afterwards?

No,
As you can see from the real plane picture this aircraft was not oversprayed.

Hello to all,
A long way to masking work end... ;)
It will be terrific. Good luck.

Turning into an outstanding piece of Modeling! All of that masking has to be difficult but I am sure the results will be worth the effort!

Hi!
The painting work is going on.
I only have to paint the blue lozenges.
Now I understand why almost all the planes where repainted at the front, covering the fuselage lozenges with blue and green paint... This plane could be spotted from Paris with this scheme ;-)

This looks like hard work. I wouldn't like doing all this masking... But the result will be worth it.
-
Exellent painting.
Martin
-
Progressing nicely. Are you mixing colours to match the decals?
Yes, I'm trying to match the decals, not exactly, but close
-
I somehow managed to miss this update :-[ Outstanding masking and painting! Your colors seem to match well to me!

Hi!
The fuselage logenzes are finished (the top... now I have do the bottom) ! :)
I forgot a couple of logenzes from the wing center section, but I'll add them
and I need to correct some "not so clean" sections, but I'm satisfied of the result 8)
The tail will painted white and of course I'll add the weathering after adding the decals.
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/09/all_01_zpsfbb8ec07.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/09/all_01_zpsfbb8ec07.jpg.html)
The right side : I had to trace the logenges by myself, because there's no profile in the instructions and no pictures.
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/09/all_02_zps693d4cf8.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/09/all_02_zps693d4cf8.jpg.html)
A small test with the complete wing. In the center section I still have to paint the fuel tank and the radiator.

Very nice Andrew!

Very nice , not something I would do with all that masking .
Terri
well, the masking is only on the wing and elevator surface, all the fuselage is done freehand like on the real plane, so it's not that long... in about half an hour you can mask a color
-
That's some very talented painting you're doing there, Andrew, and your results are drawing me ever closer to ordering one of these before it goes OOP.
Cheers,
Lance

Andrew, your paint is fantastic.

Thanks to everybody for the nice comments!
I'll post some updates in the enxt days. I'm painting the underside lozenges, so not too much to show you...
Just a lot of masking ;D

Hi!
The fuselage is finished :D
Now I need a gloss coat, decals and weathering...
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/10/fus_01_zpsbde7a310.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/10/fus_01_zpsbde7a310.jpg.html)

Meanwhile I'm going on with other parts.
Here's the engine. I've added the lifters and spark plugs cables. For the cables I've used elastic thread instead of the usual copper wire and I must say that is much easier :)
I still need to paint some details of the intake assembly.
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/10/eng_zpse338c2bf.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/10/eng_zpse338c2bf.jpg.html)
Now that the fuelage is painted the work should speed up.
That's all!
Andrew

You have done a superb job Andrew painting the lozenge and the engine looks amazing.
Des.

Dear me, that Argus of yours looks so real! Fantastic modelling!

Looks fantastic Andrew! What a great mix of colors in the lozenge paint.
Can you please explain how you used elastic thread for the spark plug cables? Anything that is easier is always welcome. :D. Thanks.

hi,
The red part is an albion alloy tube (0.9 mm maybe a 0.8 is the right measure, but I had only 07 or 0.9...)
I've inserted in the tube 6 pieces of elastic thread (eazy line)
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/10/tube_zps79c5250e.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/10/tube_zps79c5250e.jpg.html)
I've attached the tube to the cylinders and then I've cut to measure and attached the wires to the distributor (i've used white glue).
For the pieces from the plugs to the tube I've simply attached a piece of elastic thread to each spark plug, then cut to the right lenght (a little higher than the base of cylinders) and then I've attached the other end to the tube
Then paint and there you go :D
If something is not clear just ask.
By the way, I've copied this technique, but I don't remember if from a forum or an article from a magazine (maybe a Windsock one..)

Hi!
In the past days I've finished the decalling work and I've added a raw umber oil wash to pick up some details and tone down a little bit the colors. I've also added the pilot MG. A little bit tricky to add it with the closed fuselage, but it has been a lot easier to paint all without this fragile item non installed
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/11/All_01_zpsba9801e4.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/11/All_01_zpsba9801e4.jpg.html)
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/11/All_02_zpsa3dc6e87.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/11/All_02_zpsa3dc6e87.jpg.html)
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/11/All_03_zps1188df38.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/11/All_03_zps1188df38.jpg.html)
As you can see from this picture taken with natural light the painted colors are very similar to the decal colors but not the same, as I think were also on the real plane. I'm quite pleased with the result Big Grin - :D
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/11/Wing_01_zpsbcb4d7c6.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/11/Wing_01_zpsbcb4d7c6.jpg.html)
I painted the propeller. I've layed down a sand base color, hand painted the dark color and finally added a thin coat coat of oil paint to blend all. Then a clear cover and decals.
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/11/Prop_01_zps779057c9.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/11/Prop_01_zps779057c9.jpg.html)

Some details of the tail
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/11/Tail_02_zpsd90fb5a3.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/11/Tail_02_zpsd90fb5a3.jpg.html)
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/11/Tail_01_zps29852272.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/11/Tail_01_zps29852272.jpg.html)
And finally the progress on the mg, still missing some paint
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/11/Mg_01_zps9eb4d778.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/11/Mg_01_zps9eb4d778.jpg.html)
Now I've only to assembly and add the rigging, I think I'll finish it during next week.
Andrew
-
Thumbs up, Andrew, that looks great.

Andrew,
Stunning! Your work is absolutely top notch. The clean and crisp details as seen on the MG are what will put this Build in a class by itself and the prop work is magnificent. Nicely done, really looking forward to the spread in the completed section.

Hi Andrew, apart from the fact that the Hannover is one of my favourite planes since I was a boy, I really love your build!! The colours are exactly the way, I would like to have them - when at last I will tackle my WnW Hannover... Rock on!

Say, Andrew, concerning turnbuckles: How do you know how many of which kind of turnbuckles do you need? As I also have WnW's Hannover, I would be happy to know... I have been on Gaspatch's Website some several times, but never ordered any turnbuckles as I am always left helpless in front of all those different kinds, types and versions of turnbuckles!!

Another outstanding update. The rigging on the tail surfaces is wonderful!

Hi !
A quick update (not the best pictures, but I hadn't much time..)
I've positioned the top wing ( no problems, great work WnW :D ) and started the rigging.
In another couple of evening I should have finished and then I've only to add some small details and retouch something

Hi!
I've used the Gaspatch type C 1/32 scale

Haha, I see: Short question, straight answer!
-
Haha, I see: Short question, straight answer!
Do you want to know something else? ::)
Just ask , no problem ;D
-
Yes, thank you: How many did you use?
-
Yes, thank you: How many did you use?
Well, I think about 10 or 12.. I have to count them :D
Not too much however, it's not a complicate rigging
-
Finished! ;D
The last work was to add the streamers under the wings.
Here you can see them on the real aircraft:
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/Final/Streamer_03_zps03730e0f.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/Final/Streamer_03_zps03730e0f.jpg.html)
I've painted them on alumium stripes (not too precise, but they will be rolled up... ::) ) and then installed on the model.
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/Final/Streamer_01_zpse841d910.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/Final/Streamer_01_zpse841d910.jpg.html)

And here's the finished model :
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/Final/FInal_01_zps9849c949.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/Final/FInal_01_zps9849c949.jpg.html)
(http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg486/Andrew_Stef/Hannover/Final/FInal_02b_zps18681507.jpg) (http://s1240.photobucket.com/user/Andrew_Stef/media/Hannover/Final/FInal_02b_zps18681507.jpg.html)
I'm very proud of the result. Not perfect, but very close to what I wanted, and when I've started it I was worried by all the masking and free hand airbrushing needed.
I had no big problems during the build apart from the aileron decal...
I hope you've enjoyed it
Now I'll post more pictures in the completed models thread.

Andrew, I don't know where I was but I missed most of your build log.
I did rectify the matter by reading the whole thing, and you, my friend
have created a true gem! The amount of work you have put into it is
amazing, but the results are absolutely sublime. You really have something
few would even think of tackling. I really have to hand it to you. Very well done! :D
