I have missed out on this recently Ondra - not sure how. Your skills in this scale never cease to amaze me - the incredible detail that you get into the cockpit is stunning. The interior colours also really look the part. Never mind your engineering skills - I am a dab hand with the filler too - because I need to be and I usually work in a larger scale to you!

Stephen.

Ondra,
Trying to build a three dimensional shape with ribs and frames is very difficult in scale.  I was just thinking about how difficult it is to sand tiny parts.

Fuselage and wheels impress!

As always, I'm completely blown away by you jeweler-like craftsmanship in this scale, Ondra!  Truly spectacular, my friend!
Cheers,
Bud

Many thanks for your support and your generous comments, Juan, Stephen, Jeff, Gaz, Rick and Bud, they are highly appreciated.

Before I move on with the fuselage, I need to resolve one puzzle about the cockpit decking.

The decking was for a large part removed on this aircraft, as the WNW instructions show:

Still, I am not able to create a clear picture what the decking looked like and did not find the answer in the instructions.

Would any of you have a picture answering this question?

I presume the layout of the decking should be the same as e. g. McLaren's machine, which can be very well seen in Lance's build, but I am really not sure about this.

Many thanks in advance for any advice.

Cheers

Ondra

After a lot of pain, struggle and dirty words, I have finally managed to fit the lower wings to the fuselage. Unfortunately the fuselage is a bit wider than it should be, so adjustments will be necessary to the wings.

The good news is, most of the cockpit details will remain visible.

The Camel will be the same story as the S.E.5a, so I will basically build it twice - in the first step I will only assemble it to make sure the struts have the correct length, then disassemble and paint.

Cheers

Ondra

After all this time, I know I shouldn't be, but I'm once again totally astonished by the detail in this tiny masterpiece!
Cheers,
Bud

I know that practice is supposed to make perfect Ondra, and that you have had a lot of practice in this scale, but that model looks as near perfect as it will ever get to me!

Just amazing, Ondra.  My carpet monster claims bigger parts than your entire plane...  almost!

I don't think I looked at this before. I have now. Incredible! Astonishing! I can't believe the detail you are achieving at this scale. It does my head in.

I'll keep watching from now on.

Thanks
