What a great SHOW, Bob! A beautiful model and tribute to Des.
The combination of black, PC10 and linen looks very interesting.

You're inviting me to launch my Triplane right now! But I should finish some shelf queens before :(

Good luck,
Frank

Thanks for the lovely comments.
I'm just so happy I got the chance to finish my Tribute to Des.

What next?... A short rest and then something German or French.

Cheers!
Bob  ;)

P.S. The black tailplane and the underside C is just my wishful opinion. But opinions means little... Facts are King! Sadly, there are not enough facts regarding Collishaw's 2 victory 'Black Maria.' So take my rendition with a pinch of salt. I could be near the mark, but chances are I'm probably a galaxy away  ;D

Now I know why time went by so fast today . Didn't seem such a long wait to view a beautiful built trip  :) Bob , you have really out done your self and I'm very pleased that you had the extra time to finish her . Des would be very proud of this one !  8)

Ist wunderbar !

Wonderful, von Buckle !! You've done an absolutely great job on her, and such a beautiful display base to commemorate Des and all he meant to us. I did "533" with mine several years ago and just did a quick comparison; yours is FAR nicer! My compliments, it's a magnificent effort!
Cheers,
Lance

Marvellous comments from modellers who inspire & motivate me to improve - I thank you!  :)

Jeff,
Terri & Rick (the main culprits) and Ken and others kept me on track to finish her.
But the overriding feeling was to honour our forum leader and I'm so happy Dave gave us the chance to do just that.

Cheers!

i'm hoping it's an annual thing.

my main memory of Des was that no question i pinged him with was too stoopid. and believe me some of my noob questions were breathtakingly stoopid. Des was a straight shooter but generous to a fault.

Thank you Rick!  ;) Always appreciate your comments.  8)

Jeff,
Yes, Des loved to pass on his skills and also encourage those who may be starting out in our little corner of the hobby.
His legacy will live long into the future. As will his works of art.

Cheers,
Bob  :)
