The end of todays session: Interior work is progressing on the Bristol Scout and some basic CDL has been sprayed in the Scout and Strutter interior.

My Rick: if this is slow progress what would you be like if you built a model quickly?

Super finish on the wood and canvass interiors.

Stephen.

Thanks Stephen. I did a bit more work today. Wood painted in the Strutter interior and washes added to both models. Drybrushing a lighter CDL shade followed. Still more to do.

and... just for fun I tested the decals. The one I tested came off of the backing paper easily, did not break p or tear, and conformed to a compound surface including raised rivets. I didn't use setting solution but I am certain that would have worked even better. Too bad the color is so dark!

Great work on the interiors so far Rick. The CDL looks lovely and oil stained in the most realistic way.

Thanks Ken. Not quite as detailed as yours but I think it will be good when I finish the Smoke and Mirrors Methods I use  8)

Thanks Richie. I did a bit more yesterday but not enough to make another post worthwhile!

It will be a treat watching this lovely pair being built. Fine start on both, Rick.

I've not bought a new model for some time now, but both of these are very tempting and it'll be great to follow your builds.
/Fredrik

Thanks Fredrik! I will be in touch about these markings I pulled from the Net:

RAGIII

PS: Probably the top one with #4 as it has a bit of the metal panels left unpainted.

No problem Rick!
Just send me a message and I'll crack on. Roundels too? That would sort the dark colour...

Great work so far!

Very nice interior work! I like the Oil stains on the lower part of the fuselage. You can already see that it’s a rotary engine here  :)
