Roland D.VI "a"version// Fly// 1:48
« on: December 10, 2018, 08:01:51 PM »
Hello,
Decided to take  „a” version with Merc D.III engine and see what kind of quality Fly can offer.  I know already that will use some Aviattic 4 color lozenge as those provided by Fly are not so accurate, especially the bottom ones.
For time being I have done the engine

and started to prepare some fuselage details

regards
K

Great start K, I have the same kit, so I'll follow your build and take notes!
;-)

Antonio

PS is the placard decal supplied by the kit?

Hi,

Forgot on the update, so pls find some pics below
the fuselage is closed already

The cowling inlets in the upper part will be added as well. I have sanded the originals being convinced there should not be any in "a" vs. :-[

Wow, with paint your fuselage looks fantastic!
Love it, but I will do a different version (with red brown bar in the middle of fuselage) .
I have this kit and tried a dry fitting of some main parts - this is obviously a short run kit. So my respect for your work is growing with every update!

And your jig is to sweet 8)

Cheers,
Frank
