Emhar 1/35th Tadpole OOB
« on: November 22, 2018, 12:53:07 PM »
So I did a very short build log on this one in the proper section. This was built for a WW1 Group Build and is entirely Out of the Box. I used Old School weathering with pastels and washes. The photos aren't great but I hope they will suffice. Someday I think I will go back and use some Modern weathering products. It was a fun build to waste time while waiting for the Copperstate Nieuport XVII.

Not exactly what I would call a waste of time--Nice work Amigo !!!  I just got an e-mail saying my CSM N.17 was mailed so it should be home when we return from our T--day visit up here in Seattle.

Great looking Tadpole Rick, your time and efforts are well worth the results.  Congrats and looking forward to your Nieuport.

Clean looking build.  Did this tank not have any markings on it?  I don't know anything about tanks.  Is the reddish hue from the lighting, or is that the color?

Again, a neat build.

Nice tank, I like subtle weathering and you made interesting tracks and exhaust pipe.

Beautiful (?) Tadpole, Amigo!  So, you're edging into armor, too, I see.  You'll have to try the CSM Lanchester.  Beautiful kit.
Cheers,
Bud

Very cool tank (the best looking in my opinion). Great result for a "waste of time"

Thanks for looking and commenting! The reddish hue is probably "Mostly" Edited lighting although I did use some reddish/brown pastels for weathering. The basic color is an Olive greenish  8) As for Markings none were used. The Tadpole was an experimental version and not used operationally.

Thanks Bud. In another lifetime, Modeling Wise, I built a lot of Armor. I have had this kit in my Stash for about 20 years. As I said I built it to fill in/Waste time while waiting for my Nieuport 17. The inspiration was joining a Group Build Group on FB that had a WW1 theme.

Thanks Guy. I have a feeling the Group Build Group will help me be more diverse and get rid of a few kits that have spent years in my closet  ::)
