New here, so my apology if this is in the wrong spot...

We sadly note the passing of Alan Christensen, a lifetime member of the League of WWI Aviation Historians, Cross & Cockade, and several other related groups, who devoted much of his life to the study of the World War 1 air war. We know that Al was an active member on this forum, so we wanted to make his associates aware of Al’s wishes.

Al wanted his vast library to be offered to fellow students and enthusiasts before going up for auction. Al was very involved with research for the Mike Carr authored TSR WW1 air combat board game “Fight in the Skies” later renamed “Dawn Patrol”. Al’s intent is that all proceeds from the sale of his library go to run a Dawn Patrol gaming convention held in his honor planned for 2019.

The following journal collections may be of interest to some on this forum:

Cross & Cockade, Volumes 1 through 48
These were very carefully stored and cared for. As can be expected, there is normal age wear for older volumes. Volumes 15-20, 25-28, and 44-45 are in binders. In addition, there are four new empty binders. We were unable to locate V34 #3 & 4, and V36 #1-4. If we do locate these in the future, they will be sent at no charge to the buyer. Volumes 1-14 are titled “Cross & Cockade Journal”. Volumes 15-18 are titled “Cross & Cockade Great Britain Journal”. Volumes 19+ are titled “Cross & Cockade International Journal”.

Over the Front Volumes 1 through 32 #2 in binder
These were very carefully stored and cared for. As can be expected, there is normal age wear for older volumes. The binders for Volumes 33 through 35 are also included.

No reasonable offers refused. Shipping will be via Media Mail at cost to the continental US only. If you are near the Chicago area other delivery arrangements may be made.
