Wingnut Wings FE2.b late "Punjab Montgomery"
« on: October 22, 2012, 06:20:10 AM »
Hi folks,

Here are some pictures of my FE.2b Late from Wingnut Wings, finished in summer 2012. It's the 7018 "Punjab 32 Montgomery" LBF Morris & T Ress from 11 Sqn and shot down by Richthofen on September 1916.

The cockpit with Thornton-Pickard Camera and additional wiring.

The 160 HP Beardmore engine was painted with different Alclad Laquers. Scratch built carburetor arrangement of levers and wiring.

I choosed different basic colours due to the various materials that had been used for constructing the nacelle.

The wing alignment and the complex tail with its prepared rigging.

So this was my most complex and time consumig built, but I enyoyed every step of the process. I am very interested in following the various built logs about the fee here one ww1aircraftmodels and would like to share my observations, experiences and mistakes during this four months trip into the world of pushers.

With greetings from germany,

Dirk

Hello Dirk:

Very nicely done.  Your work with metalizers and shading really paid off with the various textures of color.  Interior is very clean and orderly.  All in all outstanding work.

Thanks for sharing.

Best

Yet another great bird Dirk, very nicely done and I like the way you painted the fuse based on the differing materials of construction.
Beautiful work.

A really beautiful looking model Dirk, the overall finish on this model is superb and your rigging is excellent, the engine is a model in it's own right, very well done.
