WnW... Why are there holes in my albatros?

Hi all,
   Working on my first WnW and I've used the fuselage to hold some of the innards together while they dry.  When I put the halves together I realized there are circular holes along the ventral seam and narrow rectangular holes on the dorsal seam.

This is weird.  Anyone know why?

On the ventral seam, there are small drain holes along the fuselage ventral centerline, and there should be one in the bottom of each wing stub (not present on the kit parts).  The only rectangular hole I know on the dorsal centerline is one immediately in front of the cockpit.  That hole is used to mound the windscreen.  James Fahey (JAMO) has some excellent photos of one of TVAL's Albatros D.Vs.  Do a search to find them, or hopefully, someone has saved the URL to the topic(s) with the photos.

    Wow, Thanks for telling me.  I thought drain holes might make sense...  but I've never heard of them before.  I found the TVAL site and it's walkaround link.  Fortunately there was one picture showing the wing stub and fuselage drains.
