oh this is going to be good.

hopefully it'll be a hit, and they'll do more 1/32.

(of course i don't want them to stop 1/48 i know a lot of y'all are into it, but i wouldn't touch 1/48 with a barge pole... for me if it's not 1/32 it's 1/72)

Two versions, as far as I can see. As I know close to nothing about the Nieuport 17, I am very much looking forward to more information about the announced kit! What did CSM say, when it‘ll hit the shop-shelves?

Between n°1177 (first ni-17) and n°1600 there are a lot of evolutions. that's what we could call early.
n°1600 until n°3000 the version is stabilized , that is what we can call late.

principal differences are :
- two tons camouflage or silver dope
- lewis MG /Vickers MG
- central window transparent or not
- renforced wongs or not
-diferent haches
- diferent cowling
- cone in the prop or  not

As with all business ventures further subjects will no doubt be very much driven by how successfully it sells. I think this is a very brave step on the part of CS and sincerely hope it is a "hit". Following their recent outstanding 1:48 Scale releases there's been nothing but very complimentary reviews and this one looks to be of the same high quality. I intend to support the Copper State move by buying their product, another well chosen subject like this will hopefully follow once and if the market speaks favorably!
I have no affiliation with the company but I believe some competition in the 1:32 Scale arena will prove of benefit to all concerned.
Cheers,
Lance

I have already stated my intention to buy but want to say I agree with your statement. A bold Move Indeed going into a scale DOMINATED by one Company! On the other hand I think it is also a SMART Move given that WNW has almost Ignored the French Aircraft of the First War. Many of us want to see some first rate, High quality kits of aircraft like the Nieuport 17/23 as well as SPADS, Bregeuts , Hanriots etc. Well done Copper State Models! Bring them on and then some!

Very well summed up, Lance. Exactly why I'll buy one.

and as much as i'm probably not the only one fancying a Bristol Scout, leading with a *very* popular subject increases the odds of that second kit being released without requiring a Sir Peter to give the green light.

My only regret is that Des didn't get to see this.

At the risk of being a negative nanny on this, has there been any information on timeline for the Nieuport?  Just so I can start saving  for the 2 or 3 I’ll want...

I knew there was a good reason I bought the Cross and Cockade e book reference for Nieuport’s..

Saw on FB that it was 2019. I don't think Edgar mentioned the Month.
