Many thanks to all of you for your kind comments, it is a major encouragement for the build!
I added the holes to the upper wooden panel, unfortunately I screwed up on the aft one and it turned out too big. But I can live with that. I also painted the cockpit coaming and am now waiting for the oil paint to cure.
The roundels are now in place, the alignment is unfortunately not perfect. I had to use decals instead of wet transfers, therefore the process was more complicated. But I can live with it as well.
The wings also got a filter using oil paints, a second layer will follow once the current one has cured.
I managed to lose one of the machine guns, but creating a new one will not be a big deal.
