Sopwith Pup 1:32 scale
« on: February 28, 2018, 07:03:57 AM »
Hi all,
I thought you might like to see my 13th build - Sopwith Pup, Serial No: A6156 “OS” of No.54 Squadron, RFC, based at Flez, France during April - May of 1917, as flown by Capt. Oliver M Stewart during 1917.

The model had some aftermarket addtions:
'Aviattic' PC10 and CDL linen decals.
'HGW Models' seat belts.
'Gaspatch' turnbuckles.
'RB Motion' aluminium nuts.
'Albion Alloys' micro-tube.
'Steelon' mono-filament.
'Polak' grass mat.
'Copper State' figure.

As usual I've created a downloadable build log in Adobe PDF format, for those who might want to use it.

I've revamped my website, so to view any model, go to the gallery and select it.  If it has a PDF build log, it will be available to download from the 'Adobe' icon on the models photo's page (click the photo's to enlarge).

My next model is the 'Hobby-Craft' Spad XIII C.1 of Frank Luke Jnr, 27th Aero Squadron, 1st Pursuit Group, 1918.

Many congratulations on a model to die for. The details of the cockpit and engine are stunning. The painting, especially the undersides, are breath-takingly realistic.

Stephen.

Beautiful job Mike, a real pleasure to look over and I particularly enjoyed your Build Log, superb production! I also enjoyed poring over the photos of your "Cave", very nice lay out and I'm envious! I'll be returning to this post a few times as I am looking forward to reading your other Build Logs, lots to be learned there I'm certain!
Cheers,
Lance

Beautifully done Pup. The subtle weathering, interior and figure are all outstanding! Well rigged and presented!

Lovely job!  I really like the colors and warn look to the underside especially.  And a  pilot is neat since it lends scale.

Great job and wonderful presentation.
