So that's, what, a 9 hour time difference between Pacific Standard Time in the US and Poland? 10 hours? And yes, Przemol, a very thoughtful gesture.

I have just checked. It is indeed 9 hours difference. So it will be 11.00 pm Feb 14th.

And thank you all for your welcome to this. I believe it is the best we can do for Des now.

Przemo, even though I`m not religious at all, I think it is a great idea to pay Des respects. I hope to be able to be there in person it`s not that far away from my place after all. I must admit I`m devastated with Des`s departure. He was one of the most influential modellers in my life. I wish I had a chance to meet him in person...
Best regards
Filip

It’s very likely I’ll be awake rocking my teething son to sleep, so I will make an effort to join in spirit.

I‘m on my way to work right now, as the service is beginning. Will have some quiet moments to thankfully think of Des and the crowd of fellow-modellers all around this globe.

Thank you Prze, that's a wonderful gesture and will be much appreciated by all I'm certain. I have marked the date on my calendar and will pause to remember......

+1. Good call, Lance. I'm in. Prze, this is a wonderful and touching idea. I will be on my deck facing East and overlooking the Ottawa River at 2:00 AM local time February 15th.

On my deck facing East and overlooking the Ottawa River at 2:00 AM local time February 15th.

It is a cold, clear, calm and moonless night north of Canada's capitol, Ottawa, at 2:00 AM, the same time that the Mass for Des is starting in Poland. The snow is bright in the light of our deck lamp. I am very glad that I can be here, now.

For Des: "May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord look upon you with Favour, and grant you Peace." God Bless. We will remember.

Cheers!
Gary

A huge and heartfelt Thank You to Przemol and everyone participating in and sharing the emotions of the Holy Mass for Des.

Our joint challenge for the future is to continue his forum in the way he would want and preserve and enhance his legacy to us all.
