WNW Fokker DVII (Fok) Early Jasta 19
« on: January 20, 2018, 11:57:59 PM »
Here is my latest build, Wingnut Wings Fokker DVII (Fok) Early. I used the markings for Max Kliefoth of Jasta 19.
There is some debate on whether this aircraft had a red or yellow nose. I went with the yellow nose because I liked the yellow with blue better.
I added Taurus spark plugs & valve springs and wiring, pipes, etc. to the engine.
Added cables, wiring & HGW seat belts to the cockpit.
Rigging is fine stainless steel wire with brass tubing to simulate the turnbuckles.
Used Aviattic lozenge decals, blue & yellow are Testors enamels.
Weathered using oils & pastels.
Hope you like & all comments are welcome.
Thanks for looking.
Larry

Very nicely done Larry; clean, great detail,, and a nice touch of weathering. Your decal work is particularly impressive. 8) 8) 8)

Wow that looks good. There are some very striking colour schemes for this aircraft - you have certainly chosen a very good one.

Very nicely done, the engine work is realistic and adds to that area with the open panels.  I too like the yellow and how it contrasts with the blue.  Very attarctive scheme.

There's a lot to like there, the (airbrushed? they don't look like decals!) wheels, the unpainted side part of the radiator where the cowl would be, the radiator support bracket... neat!
