Wingnut Wings Sopwith Dolphin
« on: January 19, 2018, 07:44:29 AM »
Okay, I think I got some decent photo's here of the completed Dolphin.  I did it in the "Red Star 6" scheme, SARD (Southern Area Repair Depot March 1918)  I am pretty happy with the way it turned out, despite some of my hasty errors.  Here they are.

Oh, man, Mark!  She is truly spectacular!  You are making me seriously reconsider my markings options.
Cheers,

Gorgeous build Mark. I really appreciate the effort you put out in your build log to point out potential build issues! Very well done!

HI guys; and thanks all for stopping by and your comments.
@Bud:  It's not a flambouyant scheme but neat none the less in the night fighter mode.  Go for it.
@ BVB:  Sopwith Ships Camel in the CDL Scheme.  After much travailing with the USAS Camel, I am thinking this will be less of a challenge applying lessons learned.
Many thanks for all of your kind words.

A true beauty, Mark! Although one could not blame me to be a hardcore Dolphin-fan, I find it an interesting plane, to say the least. Your Dolphin kit was the first I saw completed and it is since then that I am looking at Dolphin builds. Thank you for sharing your build!
Richard
P.S. Looking forward to seeing your USAS Camel! My favourite of the six packings, WnW provided us so generously with!
