Very nice Des as usual.

This is proving to be a very popular model indeed and it is easy to see why given the superb builds on this web site. One suggestion if I may, check orientation of the Aldis sight.

Regards

Just got this kit and am tempted to start it now  :P I do have a question, I took a quick look at the RB Motion site for the spark plugs. I don't see 1/32 listed did you use another scale ?

Yes Derrick, I used the 1:24 scale aluminium spark plugs, they are so close it doesn't matter and look really good once fitted

As per the comments above, wonderful work.

What did you use for the "wrappings" on the fuselage to wing attachment tubing cross brace wires?

Great start on your Dolphin, Des! It’s wonderful to see so many in the works. They sure did cram a lot into the nose of these!

That is a really good progress on the next Dolphin here!
This invites me to start my CSM 1/48 one too, but I want to stick for now on already running projects.

Your big one seems to be a great kit,. have fun with the build!

Cheers,
Frank

I completed the fuselage by adding the machine guns and windscreen then added some paint. I used a mix of 2.5 Humbrol Matt 155 to 1 of Humbrol Gloss 10, the photos show it as being more green than what it actually is, the true colour is leaning more towards brown, damn camera.
The decals are the usual Wingnuts top quality and applied very easily over a coat of clear gloss, no decal set solution was needed but I did use a hair dryer to finish off. I used the kit supplied decals for the rudder, they also went on very easy.
The entire fuselage has been given a coat of satin clear, the instructions call for a gloss on the forward half of the fuselage but when I did this it made the model look very toyish/unrealistic.
