Dissapointed? Ha! I think this is a great choice, once again. Opinions differ...

That was a classic Wingnuts out of left field!

Strange choice for me, but I’m sure it’ll be lovely. Had anyone even mentioned a Junkers on this entire thread?

i don't think so. if it was an office pool, nobody would have won.

i'll probably get one eventually. it's intriguing but not high on my list. markings should be easy to choose i think there were only about 12 of these.

Yes, I put it on my wishlist three or four years ago. Great choice - and probably quite a quick build too. Good starter choice for anyone new to WNW.

to my eye, that's the best thing about choosing to release the D.1: an entry level kit for people intimidated by rigging. especially useful now that the J.1 has got to be on the verge of selling out.

Great choice!! That's why there's chocolate and vanilla. Don't like it? Don't buy it. I for one will. Or maybe I for two will.

A bold move in my opinion but then it will sell because it is WNW. Personally I like it for several reasons. 1. It doesn't fall in the Parameters of my normal collection so no Great NEED to get it right now. 2. I was afraid it might be a Nieuport 17 offering competition to Copper State so I am relieved that is not the case. 3. For reason #1 I can now spend my February Birthday Money on a Special Hobby Fokker DII, Pheon Camel Aces, Dolphin Decals, Fokker Triplane Decals etc. whichever comes out first. Also Perhaps some Aviattic DR1 stuff, or the afore mentioned Copper State Nieuport if released  8) Finally I agree it will be a great "First" WW1 model for new enthusiasts and yes I will eventually get one in a few years.

Just musing here guys - this is has been announced as 'in development' and yet there looks a fairly well established test shot there beside the box.

Makes one wonder how long this 'in development' will be before it's actual release announcement and whether there's something much more 'secret' waiting in the wings coming behind  ;) It doesn't exactly smack of a massive project for WNW over coming months, do you not think  :D

The Stahltaube was announced last year at the Nürnberg Toy Fair wirh some beautiful test shots, too, and it was in the shops as late as October. So that might be the same schefzle with the Junkers D.I, too.
Anyone here remembering when WnW presented the Roland C.II - and one day later the late version if it? I am curiously waiting for tomorrow‘s announcements at the Modellbsu König dtand...
