It looks absolutely brilliant!!! I`m going to use your log for reference when the time comes for my Camel (Eduard). Please tell me what did you use to build the oil pulsometer??? Cheers for sharing!

   Xmald,
Thank you for kind comments, very much appreciated my friend. The oil pulsometer is inquired about was made up from scrap bits of rod stock and tiny punched disc. The sight bulb is from clear heat stretched sprue. All the piping is just fine brass craftwire.
Please free to use my thread as a reference anytime you wish my friend.I hope to see your Camel in progress in the near future.

Highest Regards,
Gregory Jouette

  Sean,
Thank you very much for your kindly comment my friend. To answer your question, yes there are. Just haven't up loaded them to Photobucket yet. I'm having to work of this old laptop that doesn't have the proper slot for the camera chip so I'm forced to wait until my main home computer is back from repairs.

Dances With Wolves, Steve the industrial strenght prayer would certainly be highly appreciated my friend. Funny thing it was your Camel project that inspired me to tame my Camel. LOL small world in deed.

Hope your health is on the up Greg - prayers ongoing...my Camel's stabled for the duration while I fiddle with a WWII project. I realise this brazen admission will almost certainly draw down a stern warning Des Von Admin. All I can say is it won't happen again... ;D

Take it easy and again, rock on with that lovely Camel.

Waterloo time or how I learn to very much dislike attempting to fabricate my own wicker seat. The seat was originally planned to be a scratch built wicker pilot seat. Having seen several others pull off this bit of Black Magic I figured sure I can do that, looks easy right. Wrong again apparently my wicker seat mojo was on vacaton at the time. The first shot was a total flop,so why try again another total flop. Sidebar is this starting to sound like a Monty Python skit or is it just me. Anyway back to the saga of the wicker seat. Now were up to the third shot with a twist "I'll use the kit supplied seat and do a little modification then start weaving. Well you guessed it flopped again. Now what to do? Well not much choice now that I've trashed the kit,go to one of my other Camels in the stash and borrow te seat. So back at square one again with a simple painted borrowed kit seat. But hey a least I didn't screw this one up and it does have some of the details intended for the wicker seat.

I guess I feel at least a little responsible for being one of those luring you down that road Greg. Glad you gave it several goes but this is t-h-e most frustrating part of the web - there are some things that just need to be demo'd in person. This is one of those occasions when I wish I could teleport into the heart of Dixie and spend some time yakking it over to a few mugs of Joe. I've had stuff demo'd to me in person in the past that I know would never transfer effectively to stills and narrative.

I believe Des has knocked up a scratch built seat or three and I think his site mentions an explanation of the how's and where's would be posted in due course (I think it's mentioned in his lovely Bristol Fighter build) but I can't see any sign that it has - any chance of the skinny on that one please Des; I'm sure your method will prove more user friendly than the normal masochism I inflict on myself.

   Steve.
LOL the wicker Waterloo was all your responsiblity my old friend. But seriously the only responsiblity sits right right here with me and at the time very shaking hands. Luckily the shaking hand problem is for the most part now pasted. I agree it is better to see a live demo rather than text and photos. Although it's far to late for the Camel ,I do a DH-2 to build for a GB elsewhere so I may attempt a wicker seat again. Surely the results will be much better this time around,if not there's alway the excellent seat from Rowan. Go to hear from you ,take care my friend.

Hi, Gregory,

Any further progress on the Camel, or are you keeping to the OKGB for the time being?  :)
Cheers!

  Gary,
There's been some but not a lot. Still haven't taken photos of the last progress,to be honest I'd forgot about taking them. For now I'm sticking close to OKGB build.
Highest Regards,
Gregory Jouette

PS: Thanks for asking my old friend.
