Rescued from my shelf of doom and finished (started back in 2010 :o)

GasPatch turnbuckles, Master's Spandau barrels, HGW P.E. radiator louvers and assorted scratch built detail.

Beautiful work.  The paint scheme is stunning, as is the engine detail.

One of the nicest schemes for an Albatros, your wood effect is superb as is the propeller and the detail on the engine is excellent, the overall finish on this model is extremely well done.

I agree with Rick...what a great finish.  All Albatri are NICHT the same, Mein Friend!  Case in point.  Lovely subtle painting skills on display.  I'm glad it was rescued!!!!!!!

Cheers,
Dan

How something of this quality ended up on the "shelf of doom" truly baffles me, so glad you retrieved and finished her! Just lovely work all round, superb in fact..........
The random plank base is a real nice piece of work, an idea I'll borrow shamelessly! Congratulations on a beautiful model!
Cheers,
Lance

Great rescue, there is a WNW DV in my shelf of doom too and this is inspiring as I hope to be soon on it.
Very well done.

My sentiments entirely. Lance ha written precisely what I wanted to: just how this was put on one side is something which escapes me. What an excellent model - certainly one to put in front of the cabinet.
