First daylight air raid over London by German bombers.

Unfortunately they hit Upper North Street Primary School in Poplar and killed 18 children, mostly 4 - 6 year old infants, amongst 150 civilian casualties.

We all enjoy modelling the aircraft of the Great War, but sometimes it's worth pausing to contemplate the bigger picture.

Absolutly true! Many thanks for bringing those horrifying facts to our conscience.
