Greetings from Germany
« on: October 05, 2012, 01:36:13 AM »
Dear fellows,

I am really happy to have found this site by following a link at hyperscale's forum. I got back to the hobby 12 years ago and enjoyed building modern jets in 1/48 scale. My first experiences at the age of 10 had soon be reactivated by building Revells Texan and the smell of those old enamel paints... ;) Kindly watching posts on Hyperscale, I was hooked by the first releases of Wingnut Wings. So after at least 6 years I have changed to WWI stuff and really enjoy every built. My first 1/32 scale bird was the WNW LVG, followed by the SE.5 and the Albatros D Va. After building two superdetailed F 190 D and 109 G6, my most complex builts had been WNW's "Brisfit" and more recently my late FE2b. Every built had been posted on Hyperscale "Plastic Pics" Forum and some were presented on the "What's new" side. Especially the Fee was a real challenge just because of its complexity and the massive rigging. Actual I am building WNW's Harry Tate and made some progress with the very complex cockpit and its rigging.

My latest built, the FE.2b can be found here: http://www.hyperscale.com/2012/galleries/fe2blate32dp_1.htm

So I am really happy to join you guys and share my questions and our experiences. I send you my best regards from Germany.

Dirk

Dirk,
Another Canadian welcome. I browsed through the links you provided, supurb "Fee". Interior details, engine, and subtle weathering are all very impressive, hope you post more for our viewing pleasure.
Cheers,
Lance

Hallo Dirk !

Viele Grüße aus Deutschland !

It is a very inspiring and professional forum ranging from real artifacts via photos to stunning modeling abilities !
Until now since modeling time is on the short run on my side I fed photos to the forum on WW I relics and modeling ideas.
The WNW kits I ordered directly from NZ or from Modellbau König - so far the only German shop I know selling them.

Your model at Hyperscale needs no words! Excellent!!

viele Grüße, Gunther (GHE)
