Wilson's Camel Reloaded!

When I built Taurus Models Clerget and decided to display it as a stand-alone model, I was awarded by Łukasz - he sent me the second copy. This was the sign, that I should dare to strip the Wilson's Camel off its original WNW engine and replace it.
The removal went well - I usually apply the plastic glue sparingly, mostly to avoid nasty leakages. But here it turned out with another profit - removal was really easy.
The kit firewall requires a surgery to accomodate the Taurus support. This surgery is not easy when the model is basically completed. I will have to make it a little bit ad-hoc - I scraped some plastic and will add an additional ring from this styrene sheet to cover those nasty scratches.

I am currently building the second engine, this time I also tried to observe the correct firing sequence and the layout of push rods.

You can see, that the WNW engine, very fine as it is, falls very short off the Taurus marvel.

Your first engine was beautiful. I am sure this one will be equally as Beautiful and really look the part in your Brilliant Camel!

Wow Przemol, every single piece you make deserves an exhibition stand!
These engines are really among the best I've ever seen!

It takes bravery to dare a back build like this on an already perfect model, but this is "artist's touch" and pays off. Great engine!
