Messieurs !

Wire is a useful thing in model building.

But normally it won't come straight but reeled in and wire out of electric cables is easily bent by chance.
Electric guitar steel strings come in different sets/gauges starting the lowest at .008 etc. .
Normally they are rolled up in the package but get straight when unrolled and stay this way; each string will be about 1m long.

One may use them - even the wound bass strings - for a lot of purposes:
a) antennas that won't break  b) handle grips  c) better attachment of ailerons (see WNW website)
d) rigging   and so on....

You may buy the cheapest brand!

highly recommended!

GHE,
I support your recommendation; I've used them for years, and they are a real bargain. I uncoil them from the package, weight them with a large bolt, and hang them on a wall in my shop, keeps curves to a minimum and they are easily bent when required.
Cheers,
Lance

I use a high E, I believe that's the one, for a very, very tiny drill bit.
