Roden 48th SE5a SAAF 1920s

After looking at the walk around on the SE5a preserved here in SA and posting something on the early SAAF use, here are some images of the Roden 48th version which I built to represent one of those early machines. Very much out of the box with just a little extra detailing done.

Always good to see some diffirent colours/markings.

1/48 is not my favorite scale but I must admit to being tempted by this particular kit.  Does this Roden kit go together well?

That is a very attractive model Bruce and extremely well made, the overall finish is excellent and your rigging is very well done, it is so nice to see an SE.5a in such a lovely scheme.

Thanks for all the positive comments, seeing some of the other models in the galleries I felt a little humble posting anything.
To answer Dave's reply, the Roden kit was not too bad a little more flash than I would have expected and I had some trouble getting a good fit around the nose, too many parts maybe due to the 'Hissi' engine option? It was my first Roden kit but had similar problems with the Fokker D VII I did next.
As far as scale I am not sure, most of the WW1 modelling I did previously was 1/72nd which I still wonder about?  I am trying 1/32nd but not really enjoying it, I guess its a debate that could go on for ever.
