Hello from southern Colorado
« on: September 27, 2012, 07:19:41 AM »
Been modeling for a few years - again. Was seriously into WWI models back in the ancient days, when kits cost less than a dollar mostly. Since getting back into modeling I've built mostly Eduard and Wingnuts Wings kits and have a few in the stash that I'll be getting around to. I have been occasionally pointing modelers to this site for references and inspiration and was glad to discover a forum here.

I am currently finishing a Wingnuts Wings FE.2b Early for IPMS review. I have an Eduard 1:48 D.Va of Loerzer's about 80% done, with a few other completed models on the shelf. I particularly like Eduard's 1:48 Dr.1 series, and about anything from Wingnut Wings. I have the Gotha in a box and may get to it this year. Or not.

I read a good bit of WWI history as well, and in keeping with my penchant for older things, I'm also interested in Civil War ironclads and hope to publish my interview with William Blackmore, owner and chief modeler of Cottage Industry Models who makes the most detailed and accurate ironclad kits.

Enough about me, on to looking through the forum.

Welcome aboard, Eindecker.  Really looking forward to seeing your projects.  What part of southern Colorado are you from?  I spent my college summers working at the Don K guest ranch in Pueblo.
Cheers,
Bud

    Einedecker,
Welcome aboard my friend, glad to have you here with us. I'm looking forward to seeing your projects posted here soon. As a former War of Northern Aggression re-enactor I'm quite pleased to read of your interest in Ironclads for the period. Please drop me a PM when your interview with William Blackmore is published as I love to read it. He's a great guy and really helped me out with building up my C.S.S David years ago.
Highest Regards,
Gregory Jouette
