Ok ok

here is the next one:
Fokker E.III as stripdown in 1/72
That is the second finished kit of the Eduard seires. The kit contains 3 PE sheets and a tiny plastic frame with low number of parts. For more robustness I replaced the etched main spars by brass profiles and soldered a new gear with brass wires instead of flat PE. As usual on by bench the paints are Gunze, Alclad and oils for the wood finishing.
After the rigging (also inside the wing with some additional compression struts) I wanted to add those anti-flutter bands you can see on the Fokker with removed fabric in London. I experimented a lot with different materials. At the end this was done by help of a third of flat dental floss

I was a hard work, to get it in without twist, but it looks great now.
Regarding this Eduard-Stripdown 1/72 show here: this is done for now!
Fokker Dr.I -> shown
Fokker E.III -> here
Piper L-4 -> doe, but to young for this forum
Sopwith Camel - some subassemblies done (damn hard to build), not yet ready
Fokker D.VIII - not yet started
Fieseler Storch - not yet started, and to young
Thanks for viewing - don't forget to click on the pics

May be it is interesting, how those kits (from 1996!) look like to give a impression:

Now the finished model!

The wings are done:

The trick with soldering is to have a good fixation of the parts, here doing the new gear:
