At first glance I thought it was 1/32 - that says a lot!

A little more to report, slow but sure...
The rigging is all done and the gloss coat is on ready for the wing decals. I'll do those along with the other two builds I have going at the moment, probably on Tues or Weds this week. Then it will be the undercarriage, engine and prop details and she'll finally be done....

I have just been reminded that this kit was given to me as a birthday present last year - my birthday is 17 days away! I'm therefore happy to report that she's finally finished! There was a slight fit problem with the prop and spinner. I had to file the slots in the spinner and thin it to get it to sit far enough back to not leave a huge gap between it and the front of the engine cowling, but other than that no major problems with the finishing up. The photos do show some of the rigging a little slack so I'll tighten that up tomorrow.

Hope you like her!

I'll post the rest of the pics in the finished section.

Thanks for all the support during this rather long build.

Ian, I admire your precision and cleanness, I currently know what a 72nd WW1 plane means and am not able of achieving on those models half of the quality you have achieved here.
Fantastic job!

Ian, I just came across your build.  It's hard to believe it's 1/72.  That size
would drive my old eyes crazy, optivisor or not!...You have amazing talent
to end up with a little gem like that.  I really like the Bavarian decals.  Tough
to get them on just right, but you pulled it off.  Well done, and thanks for
sharing your build with us.

Best Regards,
Ernie

Very nicely done, Ian.  I wouldn't be game to tackle those markings in 1/32, let alone 1/72.
