Show from Perth, WA
« on: May 01, 2017, 08:27:11 PM »
Greetings all, and especially you macsporran in old Perth, Scotland. We here in "upstart" Perth, Western Australia, had our annual show this last weekend. I took a few snaps of the display put on by the Western Front Modellers (equivalent to the GW SIG) which has been going for 21 years.

Disappointingly, there were only two WW1 types in the competition ☹️

The WFM guys are showing they are better than average modellers with some brilliant ships, artillery pieces, figures and, of course, aircraft on display, attracting a lot of public interest.

Cheers

Syd

Hi Syd.

Very thoughtful of you to orient your pix for the convenience of Mr Sporan so he can view them without standing on his head.

But please don't forget your fellow Antipodianes, Yoga just ain't comfortable for me.   ;D

I assure it is no feat of IT wizardry (let alone thoughtfulness) that resulted in the pics appearing upside down. Sometimes I just just do things that surprise even me. However, I do believe that if you click on a pic it will appear bigger and the right way up!
I take your point about yoga. These old bones and muscles (so-called) seem to prefer the watching television in an arm chair position to downward facing dog or lotus or whatever.

Thanks Syd. Clicking doers make em bigger and the correct way up.......for inverted flight. LOL

But nothing wrong with a bit of variety and viewing the aircraft as though they are at the apex of a loop.   8)

That aspect certainly is interesting for the boat though!  ;D

And I do agree, thumbs up for comfortable armchairs and nix on all moves contorsion like.

ps. Thanks for posting the pix.

cheers  :)

The WFM Models are very impressive, Syd. Thanks for sharing and for the "orientation" exercise!
