With the WNW W.12 finished and out of the way, I'm ready to get started on the CSM FK.8.  I'm ready, but the kit is not.  Not here yet.  However, I do have the beautiful resin 160 hp Beardmore that comes with the premium kit, so I'll get going on that.
Both versions are on the way, but I plan on first building the mid-production version, B-5773, the aircraft on which Lt. Alan Arnett McLeod won his Victoria Cross.






Just made the basic start on the engine.  Crank case and cylinders.

Bud, the Beardmore engine looks very good already! I can`t wait to get the FK 8 as well - I`ll start it as soon as I`ll get it to keep you company  ;)

   Great choice of subjects Bud; this is the scheme I'd build if it were in my scale. Another Canadian schoolboy's idol who died for King and Country before he turned 20. RIP.

Ditto to Rick's comments, mine just arrived the day (5/4) we go back from a short 11 day vacation.  Great minds think alike as I plan to do the same markings, so your log will lead the way !

Yep, still am, T!

The photo etch in this kit is quite extensive and gorgeous.  Three pe sheets in various materials and thicknesses for specific purposes.  One of the areas where this kit really shines.
Here I'm assembling the Lewis ammo drum boxes.  Fiddly, but well worth the effort.


All would be interior wood bits removed and cleaned up, ready for paint.


Base coat of Model Master Modern Desert Sand applied.


Much more very soon!  This kit will not be ignored!
