Arnaud,
Wonderful detail work.  Looking forward to how you are going to handle the engines.

That camo job is first class (as the rest of your build).

Thank you very much! :)

The engines are horrible, and it's quite difficult ....  :-X

If you're interested CMK makes a 1/48 260 hp Mercedes engine in resin. I bought a couple to replace those in the kit.

You are really doing a great work, almost from scratch. It's a gem.

Hello all!  :)

Same as HB D.I...; This one also suffered years away from home.  :'(

The paint has been removed for a better view of the damage.

I took the opportunity to finally add some details that I had overlooked at the time.

On the programme:
- leather beading around the cockpit openings
- fuselage lacing in PART brand PE
- foot steps
- plate on top of fuselage
- first parts of the bomb racks under the fuselage (the part needs to be reshaped, as on the WNW)
- Mats redone in brass sheet, folded, stressed, cut and then soldered.

The next step will be to work on the engines. I'm going to take an AZModel Gotha engine and improve it. Then I'll probably make a resin mold.
It's quite difficult. This kit is a pain, really difficult for me  :-X

A bient?t

Your painting was gorgeous but with the New details and re-build I am sure it will be even better. Terrific work on the struts. I am looking forward to your progress!
