WNW Albatros B. II 1916 w. Aviattic linnen

She's finished now. Contrary to my conviction this time I decided to build an airplane of which I neither know the names of the aircrew nor the number of the squadron. It seems to be a rather difficult task to identify those early war Albatros two seaters. So I followed the instructions of WNW and chose version "C", an Albatros B. II of early 1916. Several Abteilungen that made the reconnaissance work for the huge attack against Verdun still flew the Albatros B. II before it was replaced with C type airplanes. So my imagination is an early morning in February 1916, the weather that will delay the attack for several days turned the airfield into a muddy mess and an aircrew gets ready for one of their last reconnaissance flights over the fortress of Verdun...
The kit is a pure joy to build. I used Taurus resin parts for the engine and HGW masks for painting the front window. Besides of that I used Acviattic's RFC linnen decals for the flying surfaces, I love the subtle effect of this awesome stuff. The aircrew are two converted WW2 British officers from a Mini Art set.
I hope, you like it

This came out really nice! I have been following your build, & now sit here, & studying all the details. The added figures & base really complete the story.

Another masterpiece from your very talented hands, Andreas! You really have a way with composition, making your dioramas so atmospheric. And that B.II! Stunning! I could stare at these pics for hours.
Cheers,
Bud

A beautiful Build Borsos and as I commented on your Build Log, the Linen effect is second to none! Great detail work and the Base really sets it off, this is a real classic!
