Great progress on the wings and the nacelle. You are building a real masterpiece, xan! It's a pleasure to follow your build.
Best wishes

Hello, same colors for upper surface of the lower wing
OK, I surely exagerated a little bit oil marks...
i will see how it lools like at the end; it's only a PE part easy to clean if I want to paint it again...
I started a weathered plane so...

this pic show there was oil under the engines anyway...

here how to will loock like; I think it won't be too much at the end...

Xan,

I have studied many photos of these aircraft when I built mine and it was clear that the engines poured out a huge amount of oil (as all rotaries did), so I do not think that you have overdone the pool staining. In fact there were two small drain pipes on the lower sides of the cowling which were obviously there to take the oil away.

The rest of the build looks superb - a masterpiece in the making.

Stephen.

I totally agree with Stephen! The weathering is spot on -not overdone in any way. When I`ll be building the second Caudron for me it`ll be a way more weathered than the one I`m finishing now.
Your model is a distant example of perfection to follow for me. Distant because I still don`t have such skills as you do!

Best regards
Filip

I'am not going on quick
I listened my models masters abd did again the metalic xwing protection under the engines.
I thought that represent the rivets was quite interesting . I let archer rivets in natural blach...

Xan,
Just checked back into this post, really impressive work. I think your representation of the oil and "grunge" is spot on, nicely done! (as is all the work thus far!)
Cheers,
Lance
