Wow, very nice to see this one! The different textures (wood, metal, leather & fabric) are all very well represented. With a brush, no less! Not even spray bomb clear?

Extremely well done Scott, the hand painting is testimony to your exquisite modeling skills especially the wood effect on the fuselage, a stunning looking model.

I have just returned from visiting relatives and had been thinking that we had not heard much from you lately. Now I know why - you have been secretly getting this one ready to stun us all. The metal swirls and woodgrain effects are something to die for - so difficult to get right but you have mastered both. I struggle to see the repaired damage, but because you know where to look it will of course be obvious to you. That is a model for the front of the cabinet without a doubt.

No Steve i did use rattlecan dullcote. This unified everything they I for instance painted a vote of future to shine up the leather which was layered using 4 Brown and red Brown times. and I have a oil/grease mix made from thinned Tamiya smoke with burnt umber acrylic paint added to make a realistic oily tone for the engine. To me these subtle things go far to simulate realism.

Very nice Scott,

Hats off to you for the brushwork. I particularly like the faded cross effect on the top wing  :D
