1/32 Wingnut Wings S.e .5a + Crossley tender & trailer
« on: October 09, 2016, 09:46:24 PM »
Hi there! Maybe some of you remember the scratch build Crossley/trailer combo I posted here some time ago?

It was always my intention to add the upper wing to the crashed S.e.5a, but I didn't finish it in time for the last Contest.
Now I finally got around to finishing this build... and adding some extra details to the S.e.5a...

This is the photo I initially used as an inspiration for the build.

The upper wing + Lewis machine gun installation is added. The fuellines ar replaced by brass ones...
On the fuselage I've scratched the Magneto handle...

Now the plan is to build some additional S.e.5a's (2 or 3) and finally do a diorama depicting a ww1 squadron scene...

Fantastic, beautiful work throughout! A magnificent display at this stage, can't imagine the effect with a few more aircraft added into a diorama presentation. You've really done a great job on this,  :)
Cheers,
Lance

What the others have written - wonderful, fantastic. Can't wait to see a completed diorama with other aircraft and base.

Is that a Viper engined SE5a? Was it a conversion or scratch-built, which, given the scratch-built Crossley and tender, would not surprise me one bit.

Magnificent model(s)!

What a lovely piece of model making - that really is going to make for one superb diorama. Truly, something special for sure :)

Are the wings destined for the sides of the truck as per the original?

You have done a magnificent job with the tender, trailer and aircraft, the broken propeller looks superb.

Not much of the aircraft model is left. But I do admire the modelling skills leading to such a masterpiece. Top class!
