It is a very Good model and the struts are a challenge like a scratchbulit model.
And it is a very interesting subject.

Hey Bud
I just received one of these from a listee offering kits for sale. It arrived Saturday.
Nice looking kit. I do love CSM kits and this one looks a beaut. Ill have to wait to start until i have more free time. This one's sippin whiskey as opposed to drinkin liquor as it were.
I have some pretty good Russian references, ill check and see what is there.

If I can figure out how to paint figures and what Russian naval uniforms looked like, I might just turn this one into a diorama.

I went through my library, Bud, but sadly didn't find any pics of Russian Naval Infantry. Even the Osprey book on the Russian Army 1914-18 doesn't show one. Sorry! At least there's a nice profile of a Russian pilot. Interested?
Maybe people more specialized in Eastern Front affairs can help out?
Best wishes

Thank you all so much for your warm encouragement and your offers of help.  I'm sorry to take so long to respond, but we've had a lot going on lately, what with selling a house and planning a couple trips.
Bud)better do the Russian markings)
I will send you a figure for a diaorama)
I think I will do a Russian scheme, especially now that I received that beautiful Russian pilot, Edgar.  Wow, is it awesome!  No detail lost in sizing it down from 1/32 to 1/48!
Another very interesting type - I do like these flying boats. Are scale drawings supplied with the kit?

Stephen.
That's pretty much all there is, Stephen.

You're absolutely correct, Steve!  This is one to savor, not to rush.  Consequently, I may be on this one for the better part of a year.  I hope to see you get going on yours sometime soon.

I had completely forgotten that I had the Osprey book, Russian Aces of World War 1 by Victor Kulikov.  In it, there are several good photos of Russian Navy pilots that will come in handy.  Thank you for checking for me, Andreas.  You're a real pal.
I checked Bud , nothing on the cockpit . Sorry my friend .

Terri
Terri, after snooping around on line, I came to the conclusion that there really ain't much out there.  What I did find, though, will be some help.  All I really need now is that sheet showing the photo etch placement.

Des expressed some concern that I may have dropped this subject, so I figure I'd better post something, even though it's not much.
Instrument panel complete based on photos that Edgar sent me.

I used Part photo etched seats because I like the look of a coarse woven seat for a flying boat.

Here's a view of the IP installed.  Still need to paint the cockpit combing.

Decided on grey and white for the hull.

White base coat for the upper surface cdl.  I'll mask off the rib tapes and spray Modern desert sand.

And Tamiya Dark Yellow for the underside base coat to represent ribs and spars showing through.  Agian, ribs and spars will be masked and Modern Desert Sand over it.

This is what the fin, rudder and undersurfaces will look like prior to applying Aviattic CDL decals.

I'll try to be a little more timely with my updates.  :-[
Cheers,
Bud

Thanks, T!  I'm pretty much copying Chris Savaglio's scheme, except for the markings.  He went post revolution and I'm sticking with Imperial Russian Navy.  PM received and answered.  Thanks again, Sis!
Cheers,
Bud

Thank you, Gregory, Manni and Rick!  This is going to be slow going as considerable thought has to go into each step.  Not something I'm used to.

Artistic licence at work here, Amigo.  No photos of the original interior.
Cheers,
Bud

Bud the instrument panel is outstanding just as the rest of your work. I`m very curious the effect you`ll get after using the Aviattic`s CDL.
Great work - everything looks so neat and sharp!
Best regards
Filip

Your interior may involve some artistic licence but it still looks very good. The photos will be very useful if I do decide to attempt a scratch build of one of these in the future.
