I loved that Dragon kit and still have a couple floating around.  I was going to do a MFJ version with yellow cowling and tailplane.  I did do a flying model of Osterkamp's bumblebee---it really looked great in the air.  Anyway, it seems more schemes pop up over the years, for a long time it was only the Jasta 6 versions, but they are also truly spectacular in their black and white petals.

And could the red star for a personal marking have more to do with a certain beer than with political leanings, if the red star had any such meaning in 1918?  I've wondered about this for a while, tell me what you think.

Indeed my friend the only red star I am able to accept and to like (living in a ex-communistic country) is the one on Heineken bottles ;)
A very nice model!!! Sad to hear that it had a crash... Rebuild it and you can always apply the streaking on the wing.
Best regards
Filip

Again, Gregory, this is very attractive and the cowling decoration really well done. You describe it as an ancient build. Is it the Dragon kit?

Best wishes
Nigel

  Nigel,
Thank you very much my friend. Yes she's a DML kit built way back when the kit was first released. The Fokker is also hangered at the Mississippi Armed Forces Museum.

Here is one of my EVs. In this case the Eduard 1/48th Newer Mold. I built this as a review for Internet Modeler but haven't been able to search out the Build to supply the Link. This was an OOB build but I used AG Lozenge. Jasta 6 of course  ;D I  just purchased a new camera and am experimenting!

Man, you aced this one Rick! The satin finish really sets her off.

Cheers,

Chris
You can have it good; You can have it fast; you can have it cheap. Pick any two, but all three are impossible.

Beautiful build Rick!  You really nailed the top wing varnish/streaking, IMHO.  Very well done.  ;D

Cheers,

Bob

My thoughts exactly, Rick!  The streaking and the overall finish are truly superb.

Thanks Nigel. This is a relatively older build. I have another EV, a Dragon kit, that pre dates this one. I will shoot pictures and post. It has the all green wing considered correct at the time I built the model. I am learning to use the new camera so this provides a perfect opportunity to practice and re shoot some of my older builds.

Here are the Pictures of My DML EV. I used the ORIGINAL Eduard kit  Struts filed down instead of the supplied PE. This is my 3rd Oldest surviving Model. Built a good 11 or 12 years before the Eduard kit posted earlier!
RAGIII
PS, yes there is a little yellowing of the white on the tail. Also the decals are from Koster!
