German 1/72 two seat conversions

The common denominator is the Airfix Hannover CL111a which was the major donor kit for these conversions. The aircraft sporting the mottled camouflage is the AEG CIV, the cdl covered machine is the Rumpler C1 and the third is an early DFW CV. The AEG is the most recent while the Rumpler started life as my first two seat kitbash over 30 years ago as a CIV. The DFW was my first attempt to make serious use of my steadily accumulating spares box, many of the parts having been in residence for decades. The man components are from the Hannover, a Revell DVII and an Albatros DV nose, although with hindsight and experience I would forgo the DV part if I tried again. I have also discovered all of these builds can be had as vac forms but I think this way is more fun.
I’ve changed providers a couple of times and moved from photobucket to picturetrail during the course of these builds so I’ve tried to pull everything together and simplify the links.

These are three original and very interesting conversions. I really like your build logs and the topics that you select - even though they may be available in vacuform. I do hope that you will show us more of your work as I know that you have some very interesting conversions on your modelling shelves.

Great conversions! I have all 3 as vacs but as you say, conversions are much more fun!

Extraordinary conversions, Steve! They all look accurate in shape and scale. Beautiful!

Steve,
Absolutely awesome projects my friend. I've a real soft spot for conversion projects myself and I very much appreciate the work that goes into it.
Well Done!
