Thank-you all for your kind words.

Right, a bit of progress, I've been decalling. HGW  dark woodgrain on the fuselage.
Any thoughts I had that I was sort of cheating using these soon went away. Difficult. but they look ok when they're on.
The lozenge is Aviattic, what can I say that hasn't already been said. Superb.
Microscale white stripes for the rib-tapes.
And finally some of those Archer rivet decals on the cowling, they should look a lot better when it gets some weathering later on.

You'll notice that I've sanded off the inspection hatches. I'm going to replace them later on.

Thanks for looking,
Tony.

Woodgrain decals done right are a job of work, but you get seperate grain patterns for each panel like the 1:1 scale. You pulled this one off perfectly. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the inspection hatches.

Nice work. What you've done with those HGW wood grain decals look excellent.

Simply gorgeous, Tony!  You did an amazing job with the HGW decals.  I did a couple Oeffags a while back, one with wood grain done in oils, the other using the HGW stickers.  Sure as hell ain't cheating, that's for sure.  No short cut there.
BTW, will you be going to Telford this year?  Hope so.  If you do, please bring this beauty with you.
Cheers,
Bud

Tony,
As always you are turning this kit into a real stunner! Your results with the HGW wood grain are awesome as is the lozenge tail.

My that fuselage looks realistic. This is turning into a super little gem. Looking forward to seeing more of this build.
