Beautiful work, Toby!  So close to being done, I can almost feel the prop wash.
Cheers,
Bud

A lot more done. U/C on and rear rigging fitted. I need to paint the rear skid  having replaced it after  cutting it off to avoid it breaking off during the build.

Lewis gun painted but might need some attention as I over weathered it.

Top wing decals applied. These are really awful and far too thick to soften even after copious amounts of Microsol resulting in them breaking up rather moulding themselves to the features. Again something to address before finishing up.

Really looking nice now Toby, great paint work and the rigging is excellent as well. I hope you are able to beat those decals into submission, perhaps applying a little heat would do the trick.
Cheers,
Lance

Looking veru good. The rigging and gear are terrific as Lance said. I like the markings and I am sure you will get those roundels straightened out!

Calling this a day now. There are things I could tidy up but I'd rather take a bit of a break and then start my next kit which should be 1/48 Roden Junker D1.
Overall I'm fairly happy with it and have learnt a lot. Thanks for all the encouragement and links that have helped me immensely with this.
Here are some pictures and when I get time I'll post some slightly more picturesque ones in the completed forum. I don't think Nieuport's natural habitat was a spray booth.  ;)

Superb Toby, great scheme, shading and weathering. I hope mine turns out half as good, you've done a great job on this limited kit!

That's one nice, bright, looking 'bird' Toby - a great outcomet from a basic kit. You should be well pleased with such a good looking result  :)
