Manni, Bob, Rick & Borsos - thanks for your comments! I was hoping to get them finished for our big Edmonton show last weekend, but family commitments come first. I hope to post some updates soon after finishing the tedious job of putting rib tapes on the D.XII wings.

Both looking very nice Gary. I see you've opted for the full edge tapes on the lozenge of the D.XII, I found full, partial, and "None" finishes in the hundreds of photos so opted for leading edges and tips only on mine, still not sure what to do on the elevators. I really like that subdued blue on the tail, nicely done!

The Pfalz twins are just superb, Gary!  Your paint work and decaling are flawless...
I love the blue on the D.XII.  I am completely enjoying the build and will certainly
be using it for inspiration when I get to my D.XII.  Great stuff, my friend!

marvellous, both of them. A question on the D.IIIa, if i may: the red fuselage stripe has to small stripes left and right of it - what colour are those supposed to be? Silbergrau (as in "original fuselage colour") or white? There is a strong difference towards the white part of the Balkenkreuz, which confuses me...

Lance - I've re-sprayed the blue a couple of times since you saw it at the Edmonton show since I just wasn't happy with it.

Thanks Stefan. To answer your question, the lighter coloured stripes on either side of the red is silbergrau, as you'd guessed. I masked and spray painted the stripes as opposed to using the decals provided.
