Wonderful modelling. The very small details are excellent and the see-through of the wings most convincing.

Incredible detail, and quality thereof, especially for the small scale Mark. The "see through"
effect is very nicely done as well, this is top quality work all round. Very impressive!
Cheers,
Lance

Thank you all so much for the very kind words and encouragement. At the moment it feels like one step forward and12 steps back! I wasn't happy with how some of the fuselage frames lined up with each other across the two sides and in trying to fix it ended up making a terrible mess and having to start over. So here is where I am right now. I've also tried to add a little graining detail into the wood and something I forgot last time which was the wires for the cabane struts.

Thanks! I am trying to use it as an opportunity to practice patience as I came very close to throwing the whole thing in the bin!
I am also using Plastic Weld for the first time and so far I'm quite impressed. It has allowed me to get the evergreen strip on much more neatly than the superglue I had used previously which was just too quick and allowed for zero adjustment once the strip was down.

I was very worried that the plastic weld would melt the strip but it hasn't (yet!)

A tiny (literally!) update: after spending much of yesterday evening feeding the carpet monster with early attempts I have more or less finished the control stick and rudder pedals.

The control stick itself is a fine sewing needle which I cut down after putting a tiny drill bit through the eye and glung in place. The rudder pedals are just a piece of wire bent into shape and the angled part is another micro drill bit topped with a spare bit of photoetch.

Of course close up it all looks a bit messy but hopefully should look OK once everything is put together.

If that is supposed to be messy then all that I can hope is that the person looking at the completed model has a microscope on their nose to see it!  That is incredibly detailed and fine work in this scale - it would not disgrace on of the much larger scales.
