to following the build, hopefully outside the bin. ;D

Great to see another vacform kit under construction, as the BE.2 is one of my favorite aircraft from the great war era I will be following along closely.

Really looking forward to this one, Dave!  As vacs go, this is a good one for as old as it is.
Cheers,
Bud

I agree with Bud on this kit. I actually had my fuselage together and detailed before other things got in the way. It got destroyed in a house moving incident.

I do hope this doesn't get binned, no vac deserves that....some injection kits maybe....

I agree with Ian - I am not a vacuform builder myself but I do think that some people really can make them look better than injection kits. I am hoping that this will be no exception.

This kit dates way back to the beginnings of Falcon. Malcolm Laird tried various subjects to see what sold. The 1/48 BE2c and the 1/32 Fokker EV were poor sellers, so he didn't do any more WWI. In fact, Falcon ended up concentrating on canopies, which Tore Martin carries on still. Malcolm now does decals for WNW.
The only Falcon BE2c I've seen built, and very nicely, is here:

As a builder of vacuform kits myself I'm glad to see a vacuform project anytime. Will be following with great interest my friend.

That's a very pretty build Tony, thanks for sharing the link.

The kit is still available in NZ, for $20...I've been tempted once or twice but can't justify it as I just know a WNW one is in our future.

Good luck with the build and please share pics when practical!
