A cute truck.
« on: April 12, 2016, 06:53:49 PM »
On the brochure for the model show in NZ coming up on the Anzac weekend there is a picture of a Bedford SWB 'O' series 5 ton lorry, this little truck caught my eye so I did some net searching today and purchased one. The prices vary greatly with the average being around $80 - $89, I found one on Ebay in Perth for $37AUD, a brand new unstarted unopened Emhar 1:24 scale kit. And why did I buy this little truck, simply because I think it is a very cute truck.

It certainly is that, Des.  Neat little beastie! Is the photo
from the brochure, or have you built it already?
Pretty sweet deal, my friend!

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Thanks Ernie, the photos are from a build review and these are photos of the completed model, the build review will be an enormous help when I get around to building the kit. I'm still searching the net for detailed photos of the original truck, not a great deal available.

Oh, yeah, Des, that is tres cool. That's gonna be a great deal of fun to slap together, ain't it. What year is it? I'm guessing mid-50's?

Thanks Doug, I think it is a '46 - '48 model.

Thanks for the info on contacting the owner of the original, I will do that.
