Ondra, what a magician you are. That's truly impressive what you are doing in such a tiny scale. Just great :)

Many thanks for your nice comments, Frank and Borsos!

Well, I am almost finished with the easy part of the rigging, meaning the undercarriage and the tailplanes. The undercarriage is just resting on the fuselage to see if it fits.

Next up will be fitting struts and rigging the rest, but I have to take a break as my hands got really shaky after the two hours session of rigging. :)

Cheers

Ondra, I still build in 1/72 scale on occasion but I must say your work in this small scale is just amazing. You are truly a craftsman of the hobby. Your work is very inspiring. I look forward to seeing more of your creations!!! Thanks for sharing.

Many thanks for following the build and for your compliments, Mike and Stephane!

Today I glued the struts in place (well, after a long fight I will admit...). While doing that, the upper wing was held in place on the cabane struts by masking fluid. Looks so far that the fit should be ok. So next weekend I will move on with the rigging.

Many thanks for your support and your nice comments, Steve, von B and Stephen, they are highly appreciated!

This morning I summoned my rigging tools, i. e. copper wire and elastic monofilament by Uschi van der Rosten.

First I rigged the cabane struts.

And now I am working on the interplane struts.

I can't help but repeating myself: It's incredible what you are doing here is this scale, ondra. Pure magic!

Makes my eyes hurt, Ondra........ I enjoy the rigging phase of every Build and find it a challenge at times in 1:32 Scale, what you do in 1:144 is simply amazing. Is your full time job as a Surgeon?! You obviously have a very steady hand and limitless patience! Great work.

Many thanks for your nice and generous comments, Borsos and Lance!

My main job is not a surgeon, but a planner. :) It is fair to say that my hands are not as steady as I would wish, I have to make regular breaks in between rigging, as after approximately one hour, I lose the accuracy.

Cheers

Thank you very much, Lance! ;)

Today I glued the upper wing and the symetry looks quite ok.

IMG_1686 by Ondřej Mokrý, on Flickr

Most rigging wires are in place, there are just 10 to go.

IMG_1690 by Ondřej Mokrý, on Flickr

I also glued the first part of the Foster mount on the upper wing.

IMG_1692 by Ondřej Mokrý, on Flickr

And what I am especially proud of, I managed to glue back the steering stick which fell off during the build. I used very dirty words trying to glue that tiny piece into the tiny cockpit. :)

Whatever the words were, and whatever the language, we did not hear them so it does not matter! I tryly admire your skill and patience in both building and rigging this model - great to see someone else using copper wire.

BTW if you ever lost your job you could always retrain as a surgeon…..

Stephen.
