Thank you very much for your kind comment, Chris!

Actually the most enjoyable part of modelling is inventing how to solve issues like these, that is why I only do scratchbuilds. :)

Meanwhile I tried to make the wheels. In contrary to previous builds where wheels were made of plastic, this time I would like to turn them of resin.

This is the first attempt and I will keep on trying, but so far this method seem promising, resin is much easier to turn compared to styrene.

Cheers

That is unbeliveable! It is so tiny, I have handling problems in 1/32 and this gem is 4.5 times smaler...Chapeau!

Thanks for following and leaving such nice comments, Des, Manni and Rick!

This is what the radiator looks like now, not perfect but probably I will leave it this way. A few touch ups will be necessary but all in all it is in line with what I wanted to achieve.

Next will be the headrest and tail surfaces. Still looking for a proper method to make the Vickers MG and its cover, probably I will use aluminium foil.

Cheers

Facinating update, Ondra.  The detail on such a tiny
subject is astounding, my friend!

Cheers,
Ernie :)

I have just found this and had to check (twice) that I had not misread the scale. But then your fingers in the photos reveal all. I work in a small scale but this is just incredible - you are achieving a better level of detail than I am able to do in a scale which is twice as large! My hat off to you for some truly remarkable workmanship and modelling skill.

Stephen.

Many thanks for your compliments, Ernie and Stephen, highly appreciated!

Currently I am going through some sort of modelling crisis, so the progress is rather a struggle. But I hope this is only weather driven and will change once autumn will have begun.

I decided to rework the wings, as the original ribs were too thin. The ribs you can see on the photo will be sanded down to 1/3 of the current thickness.

The fuselage has started taking shape, still a lot of work ahead, however.

Scratch building is difficult enough at times in 1/72 scale - what you are achieving is therefore even more remarkable.

Many thanks for following and leaving such nice comments, Rick and Stephen!

All ribs are in place now, but I will have to rework them on two ailerons, the geometry went wrong somehow:

Next up is sanding them down to app. 1/3, then surfacer and a thick layer of Mr. Base White.

The upper wing centre section almost finished, actually it looks better than on the photos (I will admit I was quite horrified when I saw the photos first :) ).

Here are the wheels, the left one wil probably have to be reworked.

I made the first attempt on the Vickers cover, this one is made of aluminium from a tea candle.

Cheers

You were horrified when you saw the photos?!! This is just an amazing piece of modelling in the true Braille Scale. I for one could not work on something as small as this - just amazing work, and so accurate too.

Thanks for your very nice comments, Des, Stephen and Rick, they are a great encouragement to me!

Surfacer showed several spots needing a touch up and the radiator does not look as good as I was hoping it would.

Cheers
